Elena was ready to give birth to her and Michael’s first baby, but Michael was nowhere to be found. Alone in the hospital with her mother, she waited anxiously, hoping for an explanation. After two days, when Elena and baby Emily were finally discharged, she returned home expecting to find Michael there—but the house was empty except for a note in the crib. The note, written by Michael, said he loved them but had to leave forever, and mysteriously blamed Elena’s mother.
