Entitled Guest Demands Extra Pool Time — Instantly Regrets It

Liam, a hotel staff member, stayed late one night for pool maintenance. Just before closing, a guest named Linda stormed in, demanding the pool stay open another hour for her kids. Despite multiple polite warnings and posted hours, she argued, yelled, and eventually convinced a young clerk to give her a gate key.

Ignoring the rules — and Liam’s clear explanation about chemical treatments starting after 10 p.m. — Linda and several others snuck into the pool. Within minutes, kids were screaming that their skin burned and the water smelled horrible. That’s because the pool had just undergone a chlorine shock treatment.

Linda furiously blamed staff, even threatening Liam over the phone. But security footage and voicemail recordings proved otherwise. Police were called, and Linda was charged with trespassing and filing a false report.

She was also banned from all hotels in the chain. Her kids were fine after a rinse — but Linda learned that ignoring the rules has consequences.
