Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman and Wife Francie Mourn Her Grandson’s Death at 13

Duane Chapman and his wife, Francie Frane, are mourning the devastating loss of Francie’s 13-year-old grandson, Anthony, who was tragically killed in what’s been described as an accidental shooting involving his father, Gregory Zecca. The incident occurred on July 19, 2025, in Naples, Florida. Authorities are still investigating, but no arrests have been made.

In a statement, the couple shared their grief: “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers.” Gregory, who works alongside Duane in his bounty hunting team, has since deactivated his social media. Francie had often shared photos and stories of Anthony, celebrating his birthdays, faith, and joyful spirit.

The loss reopens wounds for the couple, who have both experienced profound grief. Duane lost his wife, Beth Chapman, to cancer in 2019, while Francie’s late husband, Bob, passed away just six months earlier. Their shared sorrow initially brought them together and formed the foundation of their bond.

Now, as they face this new and painful chapter, Francie and Duane are leaning on each other once again. The family is asking for privacy and prayers as they navigate yet another unimaginable loss, holding tightly to faith, love, and the memories of a boy whose light touched them all.
