Suspect Convicted Following the Death of Aliccia Grant in Home Depot Parking Lot

A late-night stabbing, a dying declaration, and a swift confession have led to prison time in a case that shook north Phoenix.

Stephen Dennis, 36, was sentenced to 18 years for killing his wife, 37-year-old makeup artist and entrepreneur Aliccia Grant, in a Home Depot parking lot on September 9, 2024. Grant, found bleeding in her car, used her final breaths to name Dennis as her attacker. Hours later, he called 911, confessed, and surrendered the weapon.

Prosecutors said the couple had recently married and were considering an annulment. “This wasn’t just a violent crime — it was an act of betrayal,” Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said.

Grant, known professionally as Glamazon Makeup, had built a career as a model, educator, and beauty specialist with 17 years of experience. Her loved ones remembered her as a devoted mother of two. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $44,000 to support her children.

The tragedy came months before another blow to the Phoenix community: the unsolved killings of teens Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and Evan Clark, 17, whose bodies were found at a remote campsite in Tonto National Forest on May 27, 2025. Both died from gunshot wounds.

Families described Pandora as adventurous and full of light, and Evan as kind, funny, and entrepreneurial. Fundraisers in their memory have each raised more than $30,000.

As the investigation continues, community members are left grieving — and demanding answers.
