Every Week, My Husband Emptied Our Fridge, but When I Learned Who Was Eating at My Expense, I Finally Got Even – Story of the Day

When Oliver and I married, I thought we were saving for our future. I paid for the bills, groceries, and every little household need, while he claimed he was putting money aside for “our dream.” But week after week, the fridge I stocked kept emptying, and I finally needed to know why.

At first, he said he was giving food to shelters or helping strays. But something didn’t add up. Then one morning, I followed him—and discovered he was delivering my groceries straight to his mother’s house. She even admitted she’d taught him to “never spend your own money when someone else will.”

I was stunned. I had been working, paying, and providing, while they lived off my efforts. But instead of fighting, I decided to teach them a lesson. The next time Oliver came home, his brand-new sports car—the one he’d bought while I counted pennies—was gone. I told him I had it delivered… to his mother.

Now, it was his turn to pay the bills. For once, I wasn’t the one carrying the weight.
