Boss Accused Me of Faking That I Have a Son & Got Me Arrested after I Asked For a Week off to Care For My Sick Kid

Annie took a week off work to care for her sick son, Kenny. Upon returning to the office, she found her boss, Mr. Williams, with a police officer and handcuffs waiting for her. “Annie Mills, you have the right to remain silent…” the officer began, accusing her of lying about having a son.

Shocked and confused, Annie was escorted out and thrown into a damp holding cell, denied a phone call. Eventually, she was allowed to contact her best friend Mia, an attorney. Mia quickly took on the case, suspecting something shady. “There’s something shady going on here,” she said.

After investigating, Mia discovered Mr. Williams had bribed the officer to arrest Annie. According to the company contract, if an employee is involved in criminal activity, their contract is terminated, and any outstanding salary is forfeited. “Are you sure?” Annie asked when Mia revealed the emails proving the conspiracy. “Yes,” Mia confirmed, adding that Mr. Williams would now face prison time.

Annie was released, and the company, to avoid a lawsuit, compensated her with $40,000, claiming Mr. Williams acted alone. “It’s all a done deal now. Prison will be his home for the foreseeable future,” Mia reassured.

Grateful for Mia’s help, Annie now works for her firm, handling marketing and PR. “I’m grateful for Mia and her faith in the justice system because I would still be waiting for some form of explanation and justice without that,” Annie reflected. She now feels secure in her job and can provide for Kenny without worrying about her employer’s integrity.
