Authorities are searching for the suspect involved in the tragic death of political activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University (UVU). The FBI released surveillance photos showing a man in a dark cap, sunglasses, and black shirt, offering up to a $100,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest.
Investigators revealed that a high-powered rifle, believed to be the weapon used, was found in a nearby wooded area along with other evidence. Over 130 tips have been submitted by the public and are under review.
Kirk was shot on September 10, 2025, during a live event just moments after a tense exchange with an audience member. Witnesses described the chaos as attendees scrambled for safety, while Kirk’s security team quickly moved him out.
The university confirmed the shot came from a building about 200 yards away. Initially, a suspect was detained but later released, and the investigation remains active. Experts believe the shooter was highly skilled and planned the attack carefully.
National leaders, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, expressed grief over Kirk’s death. Trump ordered U.S. flags flown at half-staff through September 14 to honor him.
The FBI continues to urge the public to share any videos, photos, or information that could help bring the suspect to justice.
