Helen had been married to George for 30 years. Their routine was simple, their life comfortable, and though age had brought its changes, Helen believed they still shared mutual respect. That belief shattered one morning when she found a note stuck to the fridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“My dear wife,
You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 57 years old, can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and value you as a good wife. However, I will be spending the evening with my 19-year-old secretary at the Comfort Inn. Please don\u2019t be upset\u2014I\u2019ll be home before midnight.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Helen stood silently for a moment. No tears came\u2014only a raised eyebrow and a slow, knowing smile. She didn\u2019t call him. She didn\u2019t argue. Instead, she went about her day, calm and deliberate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later that night, when George returned home whistling smugly, he found a note neatly placed on the dining table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, I hope you won\u2019t misinterpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with our 21-year-old personal trainer at the Grand Plaza.
