A correct response would have started with a question: \u2018Are they still living?\u2019 before giving an age.\u201d That\u2019s when I realized it wasn\u2019t about numbers at all\u2014it was about reasoning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I calmly replied, \u201cIn that case, I would first clarify whether the person is still alive before answering.\u201d The panel nodded in approval.
