My younger brother has always been the favorite. Growing up, he got everything handed to him while I worked for everything I had. As adults, nothing changed \u2014 my parents constantly asked me to rescue him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At 18, they begged me to buy him a car. Later, when he lost his job, they asked me to let him live with me. I even helped him financially month after month. But when he got married and they wanted me to pay their share of the wedding, I finally said no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since then, every time I refused a request, I became \u201cthe bad sister.\u201d The final straw came last week when they asked me to watch my brother\u2019s baby while he went on a business trip and his wife wanted a vacation. I refused \u2014 I have my own kids and responsibilities, and they\u2019ve never paid me for babysitting anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
