I once met my boyfriend\u2019s parents for the first time. Lunch went great\u2014until I returned from the bathroom with a huge brown stain on the back of my pants. Horrified, I later realized it wasn\u2019t what they thought\u2014it was melted chocolate I\u2019d shoved in my pocket. Instead of supporting me, my boyfriend scolded me for \u201cembarrassing him.\u201d That was my turning point\u2014I ended things soon after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other moments? A girl forgot to mute herself on Zoom and admitted to her mom that the \u201chot teacher\u201d was teaching her English class. My son pointed at an older man\u2019s big belly and shouted, \u201cLook mama, he has a baby too!\u201d A frog once leapt straight into a classmate\u2019s mouth during show-and-tell. Someone grabbed the wrong cousin\u2019s hand at a family fair. I even heard about a guy who confidently put his arm around a stranger at the movies\u2014after sipping their drink and stealing their popcorn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
