She described her daughter as one of the bravest young people she has ever known, praising her willingness to speak honestly and approach life without hesitation. Bullock admitted that raising such a strong-minded child can sometimes be challenging, but she believes those qualities could serve Laila well as she grows older. The actress has also shared how differently her two children handled the difficult years surrounding the illness and death of her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, who died in 2023. Through those experiences, Bullock emphasized the importance of protecting her children while allowing them to process emotions in their own ways.
