A mother of two from New Jersey, Marcy had been working as a legal assistant at Bank of America for only about a month when the attacks began. She was on the 81st floor of the North Tower when the first plane struck. Although her supervisor told her to remain at her desk, Marcy chose to leave, joining hundreds of others trying to find a way out. She later recalled the confusion and fear inside the building before finally reaching the street. Outside, debris filled the air, and photographer Stan Honda captured the unforgettable image.
