When asked on X which faith it would follow if forced to pick one, Grok selected Taoism, explaining that the ancient Chinese tradition seemed most compatible with its approach to understanding the universe. The chatbot said Taoism\u2019s focus on observing natural patterns, maintaining balance and adapting to reality fit what it called a \u201ccuriosity-driven inquiry.\u201d When asked why it would favor Taoism over Christianity, Grok pointed to what it described as Taoism\u2019s emphasis on examining reality rather than relying on fixed supernatural doctrines. It also stressed that its response was about alignment with its method of inquiry, rather than declaring one religion superior to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taoism, also known as Daoism, is a Chinese religious and philosophical tradition that has influenced Chinese culture for more than 2,000 years and has also shaped thought across parts of Asia.
