I also learned that some produce\u2014like avocados and potatoes\u2014spoils faster when exposed to light or heat. So now they live in the pantry or fridge, depending on what they are. I used to leave spices near the stove, but heat and sunlight made them lose flavor faster, so I moved them into a shaded cabinet. Even mail and paperwork found a new home away from the kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Little by little, I cleared the counters of cutting boards, pet bowls, and even my coffee bean containers and cookbooks. Everything has a place now, and it\u2019s made a huge difference. The kitchen looks cleaner, feels more open, and honestly, cooking has become less stressful\u2014and more enjoyable<\/p>\n\n\n\n
