STORY1 : I met a guy during a night out through my neighbor, and he seemed like a cool person. We kind of became friends. But then he started getting more and more clingy. At first, I didn\u2019t think much of it\u2014I just found it annoying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around 1:30 AM, I decided to head home to get some sleep. Then I woke up around 3:00 AM because they were having an after-party at my neighbor\u2019s apartment. Suddenly, someone knocked on my door. I chose not to open it.After that, the person knocking began talking to my neighbor\u2014it was that same guy. He started yelling at me to come out. He kept knocking and shouting for several minutes, then he stopped.For a brief moment, everything was quiet, but then he began pulling hard on the door handle, trying to force it open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His yelling had turned completely unhinged by then. After a while, he walked away. I haven\u2019t spoken to him since.STORY2 ; I saw my boss at a restaurant with his wife and decided to say hi. Just the day before, he had told us he was going to become a dad, so I smiled and congratulated his wife. To my surprise, she turned pale.My boss then grabbed my arm and whispered, \u201cYou idiot, I was talking about my girlfriend. My wife actually can\u2019t get pregnant.\u201d He added, \u201cYou should be more careful with what you say next time.\u201dIt was one of the most shocking moments I\u2019ve ever experienced. The worst part was that he was my boss, and I had to see him every day afterward, which made our encounters incredibly awkward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STORY 3 : When I was 4 and my sister was 8, my mother left with a truck driver and never came back. She signed over all her parental rights to my father. Starting around when I was 12, she would occasionally send me birthday cards\u2014always about two months late. One even included a pin with a fake birthstone for the wrong birth month.She\u2019s never made any real effort to reach out to me as an adult or to connect with her grandchildren. However, she does keep in touch with my older sister and even sent her kids an Xbox and Kinect for Christmas.
