Their home became a place of healing. Amber even sent thank-you baskets to the therapists and support groups that helped them. Through it all, their bond grew—not despite Steve’s past, but because they honored it. One autumn night, Steve held Amber close and said, “I never thought I could feel this complete again.” And Amber, eyes full of tears, understood: love isn’t about perfect starts or fairy-tale endings. It’s about showing up for each other, carrying the weight of the past together, and choosing—every day—to heal side by side.
