A frustrated wife was fed up with her husband spending all his free time at the pub. No matter how much she complained, nothing changed, so one evening she demanded to go along to see what kept him there so long.
When they walked in, the husband greeted the bartender like an old friend and asked his wife what she wanted to drink. Unsure and trying to blend in, she shrugged and said, “Whatever you’re having, I suppose.”
The husband ordered their drinks, lifted his glass, and downed it in one quick motion, slamming it back on the bar like it was second nature. The wife watched, wide-eyed and unprepared for what came next.
Determined not to seem inexperienced, she tried to copy him. She tossed her head back and attempted to drink it all in one go — but immediately sputtered, coughed, and gasped for air as tears filled her eyes, while her husband just grinned, amused at her first pub “lesson.”
