When Life Gives Kids Lemons

On a blazing summer afternoon, a man was walking down a quiet neighborhood street when he spotted a small lemonade stand run by a young boy. Parched and sweating, he thought a cool drink would hit the spot. “How much for a cup?” he asked. “Only 25 cents!” the kid replied cheerfully. The man handed over a coin, took a cup, and gulped the lemonade down in one go.

“Hey, that was great. I’ll have another!” the man said, wiping his mouth. Without hesitation, the kid poured him a second cup. The man drank it just as quickly, then asked for another and then another. After downing several cups, he let out a satisfied sigh and chuckled. “I sure got my money’s worth! That was the best deal I’ve ever had.”

The boy watched him with a wide grin as he poured the last cup. “I’m glad you liked it, mister,” he said sweetly. “You’re probably our best customer today!”

Then the kid added with a smirk, “But just so you know… the lemonade stand wasn’t really about making money. The outhouse over there? It’s broken and you just helped us get rid of all the lemonade we couldn’t flush!”
