Entitled Couple Demanded I Don’t Order Dessert—And That Wasn’t Even the Worst Part

On a solo trip to Tenerife, Ava was enjoying dessert at her resort when an entitled couple demanded she stop eating sweets in front of their kids. Her tiramisu soon vanished, and the waiter refused to bring another. Ava realized this dinner was about to get dramatic.

The couple, Sarah and Mark, believed eating dessert around their children promoted bad habits. Despite Ava’s calm refusal to give up her tiramisu, they whispered insults and acted smug. When Ava stepped away briefly, her dessert disappeared — taken away by the waiter at their urging.

Sarah claimed Ava had a health problem to justify removing the tiramisu, but she wasn’t fooled. When Ava returned, the couple pushed for more desserts, and the waiter brought out a massive chocolate cake with a sparkler. Ava’s children wanted some, but she refused and left, holding her head high.

Ava chose discipline and control over indulgence and drama. She walked away proud, knowing she protected her children’s values — even if no one thanked her. Let the couple keep their cake; Ava would take the high road.
