My Entitled Neighbor Told Me to Get Rid of My Solar Garden Lights or She’d Sue Me — Karma Hit Her Back the Next Day

I’ve dealt with tough neighbors before, but none like Meredith. Her demand to remove our harmless solar lights seemed petty — until karma came knocking on her door.

I’m Cecelia, a 40-year-old single mom to my amazing daughter, Lily. She’s 10, endlessly kind, and the heart of our little home. We love our quiet neighborhood, especially our evening chats in the garden surrounded by solar lights we installed together — Lily’s idea of “fairy magic.”

Then Meredith moved in. Stylish, stern, and always in heels, she wasn’t exactly friendly. Soon after settling in, she started complaining that our lights were “too bright” and kept her up. She threatened to call the authorities unless we removed them. Wanting peace, I gave in — and took them down.

The next morning, she was at my door in pajamas, panicked. “Put those lights back up!” she cried. Without them, raccoons had trashed her precious garden overnight. I simply smiled and said, “You got what you wanted, Meredith.” And yes, we reinstalled our lights — with a few extras. Karma sparkles brighter than any solar bulb.
