Since we can’t choose our family, we often have to deal with their quirks. And sometimes it seems that the mothers of our significant others occupy a special place in our heart. They can always amaze us with their behavior, both strange or suddenly positive.
My mother-in-law used to bring my son all sorts of cheap chocolates and wafers. We told her that the child was already allergic to sweets — to no avail.
I encouraged my son to tell his grandmother next time, “Grandma, you’d better bring something healthy!” She smiled, and the next time she came, she proudly declared, “Look, grandson, I brought you something healthy — a pack of sausages
