Father of Anna Kepner, Florida Teen Who Died on a Carnival Cruise, Speaks Up

A family vacation aboard the Carnival Horizon turned tragic when 18-year-old Florida student Anna Kepner died suddenly during the voyage. The ship returned to PortMiami on November 8, 2025, under a cloud of shock as word spread of her unexpected passing. Born in 2007, Anna was on the trip with her father, stepmother, and siblings when the incident occurred.

Her father, Christopher Kepner, shared his heartbreak and confusion, saying the family has received little information. The FBI, which has jurisdiction because the ship was traveling in international waters, has not yet provided answers. Anna was pronounced dead onboard, though officials have not released her cause of death. The lack of clarity has left the family waiting desperately for updates.

Amid the silence, Anna’s stepmother posted a deeply emotional tribute online. Loved ones remembered Anna as a bright, cheerful, straight-A student with plans to join the military and serve her community. She had been active in cheerleading, gymnastics, and local volunteer work, and was known for her kindness, humor, and vibrant spirit.

As investigators continue their work, the Kepner family has withdrawn from social media to escape swirling rumors and speculation. What was meant to be a joyful getaway has become a painful public tragedy, with the family longing for truth and holding tightly to memories of a daughter whose promising future was cut heartbreakingly short.
