No matter how carefully we try to predict or prepare for what’s to come, the future always holds uncertainties. Life often catches us off guard, whether through unexpected events or the choices made by those around us. I lost my gold earrings. 2 days later, I met my neighbor in the elevator, and she was wearing them. She said, “My boyfriend gifted me those earrings.” I told her they were vintage and had belonged to my husband’s grandma. She was quiet for a while, but then she smirked and said, “Then, it’s time for you to have a serious talk with your husband.”
