When Jade asked her stepsister to sew six custom bridesmaid dresses, she promised to pay as soon as they were finished. Wanting to help family, the new mom agreed, even though she was already exhausted from midnight feedings and caring for her baby. With no upfront payment, she dipped into their baby fund to buy fabric and worked late nights to finish everything before the wedding.
Two days before the big day, she delivered the dresses—beautiful, custom-fitted, and perfectly made. Jade barely glanced at them, muttering, “They’ll do.” When asked about reimbursement, Jade laughed in her face and said the dresses were her “wedding gift,” adding that she was “home doing nothing anyway.” Heartbroken and humiliated, she went home in tears, but chose not to cause drama before the wedding.
At the ceremony, the bridesmaids looked stunning in the dresses she had poured her heart into. But moments before the first dance, Jade pulled her into the bathroom, crying and panicked. Something had gone wrong, and suddenly the stepsister Jade had insulted and taken advantage of was the only person who could fix it.
In that tiny bathroom, Jade finally realized the true value of the sister she’d dismissed. And the exhausted seamstress had a choice to make: rescue the day once again… or let Jade face the consequences of her own cruelty.
