Mom of Three, Rachel Booth, 38, Found Dead After Disappearing from Local Gas Station

The search for missing Northwich woman Rachel Booth ended in tragedy when police recovered her body from a lake after a two-day search. Questions remain, however, about her final hours, including a solitary visit to a convenience store in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Booth, 38, a mother of three from Barnton, was last seen at 3:50 a.m. on July 19, 2025, at the Shell petrol station in Sandiway. She had bought milk and wine, and appeared calm during her interaction with staff. Her disappearance led to an urgent search by Cheshire Police, aided by sniffer dogs and diving teams.

On Monday, July 21, her body was discovered in Oakmere Lake, near Delamere, after a focused search around the area. Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, and a file is being prepared for the coroner. Her family, devastated by the loss, is being supported by specialist officers.

Rachel’s community in Barnton, where she lived with her husband Carl and their three sons, has been left in shock. A GoFundMe page set up in her memory has raised over £8,800 to support her family and honor her legacy, with funds directed to her children and a charity for ADHD support.
