Jack walked into a sports bar just before 10 p.m. and sat beside a blonde woman as the news showed a man standing on the edge of a tall building, seemingly about to jump. Curious, the woman asked Jack if he thought the man would do it. Jack confidently said he would, and they decided to place a $30 bet on it.
Moments later, the man on TV leapt off the building. The blonde was shocked and started to pay up, but Jack stopped her and admitted he’d already seen the story on the earlier news. Relieved, she smiled and said, “So did I—I just didn’t think he’d do it again.”
