The actor’s death was confirmed by his husband, Claudio Gama, in a statement to TV InsiderGama described the loss as unexpected. “It was a shock for me and our families and our friends. For more than 30 years, Tony has been my friend, my companion, my husband,” he said.The couple had lived together in Amsterdam for years, along with their cat, Max, who had been part of their family for 16 years. Following his retirement from TV in 2015, Geary made the Dutch capital his permanent home and often spoke of his love for the city.
