Kristin Cabot, one half of the viral “Coldplay couple,” has spoken publicly for the first time about the infamous kiss-cam moment at a Coldplay concert. She and her boss, Andy Byron, were caught embracing on the big screen before quickly hiding, prompting a joke from frontman Chris Martin that sent the clip viral worldwide.
In an interview with The New York Times, Cabot revealed the fallout was severe, including dozens of death threats, damage to her mental health, and strain on her children. She said she and Byron were not in a relationship, that the concert was the first time anything romantic happened, and that she ultimately left her job, saying she takes responsibility for a poor decision—but not for the extreme online harassment that followed.
