A police officer pulls over an elderly man driving a pickup truck loaded with ducks that are calmly filling the truck bed. With a serious expression, the officer explains that ducks can’t be wandering around downtown and firmly instructs the man to take them straight to the zoo. The old man nods politely, agrees without argument, and drives away, leaving the officer satisfied that the situation has been handled.
The very next day, the officer sees the same truck again—still full of ducks—but now each one is wearing a pair of sunglasses. Clearly irritated, he pulls the man over and reminds him that he was told to take the ducks to the zoo. The old man smiles and replies, “I did! Today I’m taking them to the beach.”
