Fans of MasterChef México are mourning the tragic death of Yanin Rocío Campos Ruiz, who passed away at 38 after a car accident in Chihuahua. Known for balancing her career as a nurse with her passion for cooking, Yanin captured hearts with her warmth and dedication.
The crash happened on August 2, 2025, when her GMC Terrain collided with a parked Ford Econoline. She was hospitalized at Christus Muguerza del Parque Hospital but sadly died two days later. Authorities are investigating speeding or distracted driving as possible causes.
Yanin rose to fame in the 2018 season of MasterChef México and later returned for MasterChef: La Revancha in 2019. She also hosted the local show La Tertulia and stayed active on social media, where her charisma made her a fan favorite.

Producer Iker Emerson Navarrete wrote, “Vuela muy, muy alto.” Her brother Raúl shared the funeral details on Facebook, receiving dozens of condolences from those touched by her kindness and talent.
