On Christmas, a Woman Showed Up at My Door with a Baby, Claiming I’m His Father – So I Took a DNA Test

Six months after Evan lost his wife Julia and their newborn in childbirth, he’s barely functioning when a stranger, Lila, appears on Christmas morning holding a baby and claiming the child is his. The baby’s familiar blue eyes shake him, but he refuses to believe it without proof—so they agree to a DNA test.

While waiting for the results, Lila stays in Evan’s apartment, overwhelmed by grief and financial ruin after her husband’s death. When the test confirms Evan is the baby’s father, both are stunned. Instead of pushing Lila out, Evan asks her to stay, promising she won’t be separated from the child she’s raised, and that they’ll figure out a new, complicated family together.
