Broadway actress, 25, who worked on Lion King ‘stabbed to death’ in New Jersey home as boyfriend is ‘charged with first-degree murder’

Former Broadway child star Imani Dia Smith has died at age 25 after being fatally stabbed, according to a report from TMZ. Smith, who played Young Nala in Disney’s The Lion King, was found Sunday at a home in Edison, New Jersey, and was pronounced dead at a local hospital despite life-saving efforts.

Authorities say her boyfriend, Jordan D. Jackson-Small, has been arrested and charged in connection with her death, including first-degree murder. Smith leaves behind a three-year-old son, and a GoFundMe has been created to support her family as tributes pour in remembering her talent, warmth, and promising future.
