I Moved In with My Fiancé – Then I Accidentally Found a Warning Note from His Ex Meant for Me

Moving in with my fiancé, Caleb, felt like a dream. He was kind, thoughtful, and always went the extra mile — like driving to three pharmacies late at night to get me the right migraine medication. When he proposed after eight months, I thought I’d found my happily ever after.

But soon, my life began unraveling. I kept losing jobs — three in just five months. Each time, Caleb comforted me, suggesting maybe I should just focus on our life together while he provided for us.

One Saturday, while organizing our closet, I found a hidden note:
“If you’re engaged to Caleb, you have to run. Here’s his laptop password. You’ll have three minutes while he showers.”

Shaken, I waited for my chance and opened his laptop. Inside, I found dozens of fake complaint letters — all written by Caleb — sent to my employers to get me fired. He had been sabotaging my career to make me dependent on him.

I took photos of everything and fled to my sister Rose’s place. From there, I emailed Caleb’s boss with proof of what he’d done. That evening, Caleb came home furious, demanding answers. When I confronted him, he finally realized he’d been caught.

I left him that night.

Two weeks later, I received a message from a woman named Rachel, Caleb’s ex. She had hidden the note, knowing he would do this again.
“He destroyed my nursing career too,” she wrote. “I’m proud you fought back.”

Her warning saved me — and now, I’m determined to make sure Caleb never hurts anyone else again.
