Expert reveals 5 steps to survive a nuclear blast amid WW3 fears

Fears of a potential World War III have grown in recent times amid the global tensions and regional battles. Nuclear powers will always be considered a threat by others, but what should you even do if a nuclear blast hits your city? An expert prepper on TikTok has shared his best five-step advice for surviving. The fear of World War III is likely something many of us have considered in recent years. With conflicts raging in both Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, as well as Donald Trump’s latest threat of invading Greenland, it’s hard not to.Sadly, today, a war isn’t anymore a question of person vs person. While many soldiers are still involved in war, powerful machines, such as drones, missiles, and bombs, pose an even bigger threat. That said, nuclear war is very much on the table, but it’s important not to fast-forward into a situation of panic.

But what should you do and how should you act if there were a nuclear attack? An expert prepper, Derrick, who goes by prepperpress on TikTok, has made a video with five steps you should follow to survive a nuclear attack. In the video, Derrick stated that his advice is specifically for a nuclear bomb between 300-800 kilotons, which is the typical yield of a modern intercontinental ballistic missile. In comparison, the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima during WWII was about 15 kilotons, according to the World Nuclear Association. Most likely, if there’s a nuclear drop, you won’t have much time. Still, Derrick states that the best thing you can do is simply limit the potential damage.Hit the ground, face down, feet facing towards the blast, cover your head,” he said in the TikTok video. “Make sure to keep your mouth open so your lungs don’t burst from the pressure wave, and remember, don’t look at the flash.”
