Designer Will Breaux turned his dream into reality by building a 2,500-square-foot home entirely out of 11 shipping containers. Located on McGowen Street in Houston, the three-story house even features a rooftop deck, making it a striking and unique residence.

Breaux had dreamed of creating his own home since the early 2000s but struggled to find a designer who understood his vision. After firing a design team that didn’t meet his expectations, he decided to take full control of the project himself around 2011.

He chose shipping containers for their strength, fireproof nature, durability, and resistance to hurricanes. Despite having no professional construction background, Breaux taught himself everything he needed to know and designed a detailed 3D sketch of his dream house.

After countless hours of hard work and determination, Breaux successfully completed the extraordinary project. Today, he proudly lives in his fully furnished, one-of-a-kind container home — a true testament to creativity and perseverance.
