Old-Fashioned Bologna Salad

This classic bologna salad is a creamy, nostalgic spread similar to ham or chicken salad, perfect for sandwiches or crackers. It’s budget-friendly, quick to make, and packed with tangy-sweet flavor. Some food historians even believe early “ham salad” recipes originally used bologna, making this dish a true throwback favorite. Best of all, it comes together in just minutes with a food processor or blender.

To make it, hard-boil four eggs, cool, peel, and roughly chop. Add them to a food processor along with 1 pound of chunked bologna, ⅓ cup sweet pickle relish, and ¼ cup mayonnaise. Pulse until the mixture reaches a smooth but slightly textured, pâté-like consistency. Serve immediately on crackers or spread onto sandwich bread. Simple, satisfying, and full of old-fashioned comfort flavor—this bologna salad proves that the best recipes don’t need to be complicated.
