The Rock’s daughter deleted a Donald Trump comment made in her first remarks after confirming her WWE departure.Ava, real name Simone Alexandra Garcia Johnson and the youngest child of the WWE legend, had been working on the NXT brand as the General Manager – taking on the position in 2024 following a small amount of matches. But on Friday, the 24-year-old announced her six-year stint had come to an end. After her contract expired, Johnson elected against renewing her deal and put out a statement where she said the decision to do so was “very difficult”.
She wrote: “This past Tuesday was my last appearance on NXT & subsequently WWE. Thank you to all who have cheered, watched, and supported me through my journey. While my decision to not renew my contract was very difficult, it’s also new turning point in my life. It has been an honor & a privilege to be Ava.”However, free from any contract and any type of repercussions for speaking out, Ava, who appeared to post a response to Charlie Kirk’s assassination, also took to social media to make a political comment. She sent a message to Trump and recent activities involving ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). On X, she said, “and now that i can say this with my full chest, [middle finger emoji] ice and that entire administration”.The post is no longer visible as Ava deleted her X account entirely. Her potential absence was not mentioned on NXT programming but according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “there was no compelling reason” for the exit.Meltzer added that the departure, which comes not long after her girlfriend Tatyanna Dumas was cut from the company, was completely “her decision”.
