Micaela thought it was just a playful joke when she wrote a warning on her husband Travis’s chest before his office Christmas party: “This is my husband — touch him, and you’ll pay. – M.” But later that night, as she undressed her intoxicated husband, she noticed a smudged reply written beneath it: “Keep the change.” At first, she laughed it off, but the words haunted her all night.
