A tragic road collision in Buckinghamshire has claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl and led to the arrest of three teenagers. According to Thames Valley Police, the incident occurred at around 9:20 p.m. on Friday on the A355 and involved three vehicles: a white Toyota Yaris, a grey Toyota Hilux, and a motorbike carrying two young riders. Emergency services rushed to the scene after the crash was reported, but sadly the teenage passenger on the motorbike had been thrown from the vehicle during the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that her family has been informed of the devastating loss and is currently receiving support from specially trained officers during this difficult time. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation as officers work to understand exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the crash.
Police confirmed that the motorbike rider, a 16-year-old boy from Beaconsfield, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. In addition, two other teenagers — a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl from High Wycombe who were riding another motorbike nearby — were also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. All three remain in police custody while the investigation continues. Authorities also noted that a police vehicle happened to be in the area at the time, traveling on the opposite carriageway without blue lights activated. Because of this, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct to ensure independent oversight of the circumstances. Investigators are now asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage from the area before the collision to contact Thames Valley Police to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
