Rex Culpepper played primarily as Syracuse’s backup quarterback from 2017 through 2020. He also played as a tight end. He played in 30 career games, 16 as a quarterback, and threw for 1,546 yards and 11 touchdowns.During his time with Syracuse Orange, in 2018, Rex, son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Brad Culpepper, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He underwent chemotherapy and was declared cancer-free later the same year.About a month ago, Rex Culpepper had proposed to the love of his life, Savanna Morgan.
