A critical search has been initiated to locate the mother of a newborn, who is thought to have recently given birth. Earlier today, the body of the infant was discovered abandoned in a bag outside a church in west London.

The baby was pronounced dead at the scene on Talbot Road in Notting Hill shortly before 1 PM. Emergency responders, including officers and paramedics, arrived after receiving a report regarding the discovery of the infant’s body.
