According to reports, Trump participated in a call with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain while discussing efforts to secure a long-term peace agreement after weeks of conflict and a fragile ceasefire between the US and Iran. During the call, Trump allegedly insisted that countries without diplomatic relations with Israel should be required to join the Abraham Accords as part of any future settlement. The Abraham Accords, originally brokered during Trump’s presidency, normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations, including Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and the UAE. However, countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan still do not officially recognize Israel, making Trump’s proposal highly controversial and politically sensitive across the region.
