Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Return to the UK — Meghan’s Unexpected Career Move Could Change Everything

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in the United Kingdom with Archie and Lilibet, marking a surprising change after years of building their life in California. The family’s extended stay comes as their children begin school and Harry spends more time on projects connected to his British roots. Although the couple are not returning as working royals, their presence brings them closer to King Charles and the wider royal family than they have been in years. Harry has previously spoken about missing Britain, while Meghan has described difficult experiences during their time as working royals. Their return is reportedly intended to give their children a stronger connection to their father’s home country and family history. They have not permanently moved out of their Montecito home, making the arrangement more flexible than a full relocation. Still, their decision to spend more time in Britain has naturally raised questions about what comes next—and Meghan may have an especially interesting reason for being there.

The former Suits actress is reportedly in early discussions about a possible role in the third season of Netflix’s The Gentlemen, which films in the UK. Nothing has been finalized, but if a deal happens, it would represent a major change from Meghan’s previous comments that she was finished with acting. Her potential return could place her back in front of cameras in the same country where her royal life began. At the same time, Harry and Meghan remain independent from official royal duties, meaning any professional projects would be handled through their own team rather than Buckingham Palace. Their return also comes amid continued questions about Harry’s relationship with his family, particularly Prince William, while Charles has reportedly welcomed the possibility of having his son closer. Whether the UK becomes a long-term home or simply another chapter, the Sussexes are clearly entering a very different phase. And if Meghan does step back onto a British television set, her comeback may end up being far more unexpected than anyone imagined.
