Kelly Osbourne Opens Up About Her Estrangement From Sister Aimee — Why She Says Reconciliation Is No Longer Possible

Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her long-standing distance from her older sister, Aimee Osbourne, explaining why she no longer believes reconciliation is possible. During a September 2026 appearance on We Need To Talk, Kelly said the sisters remain very different and that she still respects Aimee, but their relationship has left her carrying unresolved feelings. Kelly recalled being especially close to her brother Jack while growing up, describing them as inseparable, while Aimee followed a very different path. Aimee famously chose not to participate in The Osbournes, the MTV reality show that made Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack even more widely known. Kelly said one of the most difficult parts of their relationship was feeling that she never had the big-sister bond she wanted. She admitted that she still carries resentment over having to learn certain things on her own that she believed an older sister might have taught her. When asked directly if she saw any possibility of reconciliation, Kelly simply answered, “No.”

Aimee has previously explained that avoiding reality television was about protecting her privacy and developing her own identity, rather than rejecting her family. She later pursued music under the name ARO and continued living largely outside the spotlight. Jack has also acknowledged that he and Aimee are not close, while Sharon Osbourne has spoken about how painful it was when Aimee left home at 16 because of the filming. Despite the distance, the siblings have still come together for important family moments, including Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral in 2025. Kelly’s latest comments suggest that sharing those moments has not erased years of emotional distance. She said she accepts that she and Aimee are different and does not want to change her, but also believes relationships need acceptance and respect. For now, Kelly appears focused on maintaining boundaries while carrying the complicated history of her family with her.
