Jennifer Eckhart, the former Fox Business associate producer who became publicly known after filing a lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, has died at 36. Eckhart was found at her Hobe Sound, Florida, home on Sept. 19, 2026, and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that her death was ruled a suicide. Her death follows years of a highly publicized legal battle, advocacy work, and efforts to help trauma survivors. Eckhart worked for Fox Business for seven years before leaving in 2020, when she filed a lawsuit accusing Henry of rape, grooming, and psychological manipulation. Henry denied the allegations. The case was settled in June 2025 after what Eckhart described as a five-year legal ordeal that had been exhausting and retraumatizing.
