Miranda Lambert underwent a major lifestyle change while married to Blake Shelton, losing 20 pounds after working with a trainer, controlling her portions, and changing her diet. In 2013, ahead of her 30th birthday, the country singer spent four months exercising and successfully dropped a dress size. Her workouts included circuit training, cardio, lunges, and resistance bands, and she even brought her trainer on tour to stay consistent. Shelton supported her efforts but made it clear that he loved her regardless of her size, telling her she was beautiful at every stage. Although Lambert was proud of her progress, she later admitted that body insecurity had often affected her confidence. Her marriage to Shelton ended in a painful divorce in 2015, after years in the public eye.
Lambert eventually found a happier chapter with Brendan McLoughlin, a former NYPD officer whom she met in November 2018. The couple married privately on January 26, 2019, outside Nashville, and Lambert chose to keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight after learning difficult lessons from her first marriage. With McLoughlin, she said she became more comfortable with herself and stopped allowing body worries to interfere with her performances. She described herself as being in a comfortable place and embraced happiness, music, love, and good food. McLoughlin has also shown his affection through everyday gestures, including cooking for his wife and celebrating her publicly. For her 39th birthday in 2022, he called her the most beautiful person inside and out. Their relationship continued to grow, and in January 2026 they celebrated seven years of marriage. Lambert, now 42, has continued thriving professionally while appearing confident and content alongside her husband.
