Growing up as the only child of Sam Elliott and Katharine Ross meant Cleo Rose Elliott was surrounded by Hollywood from the beginning, yet acting was never the career she wanted. Raised in Malibu, Cleo discovered music early, learning instruments before eventually realizing that singing was where she felt most at home. The case was eventually dismissed after neither appeared for the scheduled hearing, and the family did not publicly explain what followed. Years later, however, photographs began showing a noticeably warmer side of their relationship. Cleo appeared with both parents at public events and shared affectionate pictures with her mother, even calling Katharine her “best friend and biggest inspiration” in a birthday tribute.
