“I Didn’t Know I Looked Like That”: Kelly Osbourne Opens Up About Her Dramatic Weight Change — The Heartbreak Behind the Photos

Kelly Osbourne, 41, admitted she was shocked when she saw photographs of herself at the February 2026 BRIT Awards. “I didn’t know that I looked like that until I saw the pictures,” she recalled, explaining how dramatically her appearance had changed during an incredibly difficult period. Just months earlier, Kelly had celebrated a special family moment at her father Ozzy Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham on July 5, 2025. That evening, her partner, Slipknot musician Sid Wilson, proposed in front of their family. However, their happiness was short-lived. On July 22, Ozzy died at 76, only 17 days after his final performance, leaving Kelly devastated. As she struggled with grief, eating became difficult, and she found it increasingly challenging to care for herself. Despite the emotional pain behind her changing appearance, public attention focused heavily on her weight, leaving Kelly feeling misunderstood.

Kelly later explained that her weight loss was not intentional and that she desperately wanted people to understand there was more to her story than photographs revealed. She also worried about her young son, Sidney, admitting she did not want him to see her struggling. In March 2026, another painful change followed when her engagement to Sid ended. During this difficult period, her mother, Sharon Osbourne, arranged for her to meet therapist and life coach Chris Miller, whom Kelly credited with helping her turn her life around. She eventually chose to raise Sidney in England, where he attends the country school she once attended. Kelly has embraced school activities and plans for a countryside home with animals. Although comments about her appearance have hurt, she is focusing on family, healing, and a more peaceful future. Her experience is a reminder that a red-carpet photograph rarely reveals the personal struggles someone may be facing behind the scenes.
