Shocking footage circulating online has raised serious questions about safety on the Goliath rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Georgia. The video, shared on TikTok by the account @jims_legacy, shows a young man riding alongside his friends as the coaster climbs and plunges from heights reaching approximately 200 feet. During the ride, he appears to lift repeatedly from his seat, prompting viewers to question whether his lap restraint was secured tightly enough. The clip has attracted renewed attention following the recent death of Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, who reportedly lost his life while riding the same attraction earlier in the week.

The footage has sparked a heated discussion among social media users, with some explaining that the sensation of being lifted from a seat can be part of the rollercoaster experience, commonly known as airtime. Others, however, expressed concern that the rider’s restraint appeared higher than those of the people sitting beside him. Several commenters questioned whether the safety bar had been properly checked before the ride began, while others called for improved safety procedures and additional precautions. The young man’s identity and the circumstances surrounding the restraint shown in the video remain unclear, and the footage alone does not establish whether a safety malfunction occurred. LADbible reported that it had contacted Six Flags for comment as concerns continued to grow.
